During the month of April students in 3rd-5th grade will be taking the State Assessment. To encourage students to do their best, Washington held an all school assembly. During the assembly each class got to show off a cheer to pump up and get students excited about testing. Also during the assembly, teachers surprised students with a cheer of their own. Teachers also held a minute to win it challenge. Teachers participated in a toilet paper mummy, marshmallow toss, balloon challenge, as well as a challenge to move a cookie from their forehead to their mouth.
After school, teachers “Chalked the Walk” by writing words of encouragement and positive affirmations on the sidewalk, to wish students GOOD LUCK!
